Recommended Resource for Parents and Teachers

100 Days, 100 Books
by Rusty True Browder

100 Days, 100 Books: Courage and Community in Books for Young People is an excellent resource for educators, parents, community groups and others seeking to share good books and the ideas they introduce. Highlighted are books that reflect values of resourcefulness, justice, courage, creativity, and participation–values at the heart of a vital democracy. Both classic and recently published titles are included in a variety of genres and reading levels up to young adult. Most are about life in America, past and present. Rusty Browder draws on four decades of professional experience with children and books, and a passion for the power of literature to inform and inspire.

You can peruse all of these resources in Rusty’s 100 Days 100 Books blog. Better yet, you can purchase Rusty’s book at the Harvard BookStore!
